The Remnant Church was constituted as a church and officially launched in February of 2021 in the midst of the “Corona Virus” epidemic. This was a time in our nation’s history like no other; most churches were closed or had just opened again.
The Remnant Church was born out of a longing small group of followers of Jesus Christ in Kingsport, Tennessee to totally commit themselves to build a church around the precepts, principles and pattern of Scripture and to imitate early church. The church emphasizes the Bible as the final authority in every area of life, and Jesus the Messiah as our life and not just another part of our lives.
The church government is Elder led and Deacon served. You may read the governing documents of the church on this site. The church has “connection brunches” throughout the year for those interested in exploring the possibility of covenant membership in The Remnant Church.
The church is presently located at 425 West Stone Drive, Kingsport and will be in this location presumably until Summer of 2023 when the church will move into a totally new and renovated facilities at 926 East Stone Drive, Kingsport. Please see the architectural renderings of the new facilities. The Church has only had one Lead Elder since its constitution, and he also serves as the Teaching Pastor of the church.
The Remnant Church is not presently aligned with a denomination although our doctrinal statement is aligned with that of the Southern Baptist Convention. The church is aligned and networks with likeminded churches across the nation to carry out the ministry and mission of Jesus.
